The Deaf Football Federation of Kenya (DFFK) staged an exciting internal friendly match between the Senior National Team and the U23 team, producing a thrilling seven-goal encounter that ended 4–3 in favor of the U23 side.

The match formed part of the federation’s ongoing technical programme aimed at strengthening competition, improving match fitness, and providing a platform for continuous player assessment across all national team levels.

Senior Team 3 – 4 U23 Team

Both sides delivered an entertaining display marked by attacking football, tactical discipline, and high intensity from start to finish. The senior team showed experience and composure, while the U23 side demonstrated energy, cohesion, and clinical finishing in key moments.

Following the match, the U23 team was awarded KES 20,000 as part of the federation’s continued commitment to supporting player development and recognizing performance excellence.

President’s Message

The DFFK President commended both teams for their performance and encouraged all Deaf footballers to increase their training intensity and participation, including consistent engagement in league activities.

He emphasized that sustained training and competition are key to improving performance standards across all national teams and domestic structures.

 

The President also announced that the federation will issue official communication regarding the upcoming Africa Deaf Football Qualification Tournament for the Deaf Football World Cup in Australia 2027, which is scheduled to take place before the end of December this year. The hosting country for the qualification tournament will be confirmed and communicated in due course.

The match served as an important platform for talent development, tactical assessment, and strengthening competition within the national team setup. Both the Senior and U23 teams continue to play a critical role in building a strong pipeline of players for future international assignments.
